This Privacy Policy explains how WUN ("Wat-U-Need"), operated by 24/7 I.T. of Saint Lucia, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the WUN apps, websites, and services (the "Platform"). It applies to Customers and to drivers, couriers, and service providers ("Providers").
1. Who is responsible for your data
24/7 I.T., trading as WUN, is the data controller for personal data processed through the Platform. You can reach our privacy contact at privacy@watuneed.online.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity & contact | Name, mobile number, email address, profile photo, and (for age-restricted orders or supply onboarding) date of birth. |
| Account & security | Login credentials, PIN, one-time passcodes, device identifiers, IP address, app version, and fraud-prevention signals. |
| Location | GPS and approximate location while you use the app to request, receive, or perform rides and deliveries — see Section 4. |
| Trip, delivery & order | Pickup and drop-off points, routes, order contents, timestamps, notes to Providers, ratings, and reviews. |
| Payment & wallet | Wallet balance and transactions, top-up records, and payment tokens. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processors, not stored by WUN. |

| Communications & support | In-app messages and calls (which may be masked), support tickets, and correspondence with us. |
| Usage & device | How you interact with the app, crash and performance logs, and cookies or similar technologies on our websites. |
3. Why we use your data (and our lawful basis)
- To provide the Platform — create and manage your account, match you with Providers, route trips and deliveries, process orders and Wallet transactions (performance of our contract with you).
- Safety and security — verify identity and age, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate incidents, and keep users and Providers safe (legitimate interests and legal obligation).
- Payments and records — process top-ups, charges, payouts, refunds, and keep financial and tax records (contract and legal obligation).
- Support and communication — respond to your requests and send service messages such as booking updates and receipts (contract and legitimate interests).
- Improve and develop — analyse usage to improve reliability, safety, and features (legitimate interests).
- Marketing — send offers and promotions where you have not opted out, or where you have consented; you can opt out at any time (consent or legitimate interests).
- Legal compliance — meet legal, regulatory, and law-enforcement obligations (legal obligation).
4. Location data — how it works
Location is central to a ride and delivery app, so we want to be clear about it.
- Customers: we use your location in the foreground (while the app is open) to set your pickup point, show nearby Providers, and track your ride or delivery in real time. You can enter locations manually instead of sharing GPS, though some features will be limited.
- Providers (drivers and couriers): during an active trip or delivery, and while you are online and available to accept jobs, we collect precise location in the foreground and background — that is, even when the app is minimised or your screen is locked — so we can offer you nearby jobs, navigate, share live ETA and location with the Customer, calculate fares and distance, and support safety features. Background location stops when you go offline or complete your last job.
- Controls: you can turn location permissions on or off in your device settings at any time. Turning off background location will prevent you from receiving or completing jobs. We do not sell your location data.
- We retain trip location and route history to provide receipts, resolve disputes, and meet safety and legal requirements.
5. Who we share data with
- Providers and Customers, to fulfil orders. To complete a ride, delivery, or service, we share the information each side needs — for example, a Customer's first name, pickup and drop-off, and live location with the assigned driver or courier; and a Provider's name, photo, vehicle, and live location with the Customer. We use number-masking where possible so phone numbers are not exposed unnecessarily.
- Merchants, to prepare and fulfil marketplace and food orders.
- Payment processors and financial partners, to process top-ups, charges, payouts, and refunds, and to detect fraud.
- Service providers to WUN, such as cloud hosting, mapping, SMS/email delivery, analytics, background-check, and customer-support vendors, who process data on our instructions under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities and legal, where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or WUN.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside Saint Lucia. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards and handled consistently with this Policy and applicable law.
7. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, accounting, and safety obligations. As a general guide, account and transaction records are retained while your account is active and for a period afterwards as required by law; trip and delivery records and supply-onboarding documents are retained for the periods required for safety, financial, and regulatory purposes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of your data where there is no overriding legal or legitimate reason to keep it;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting prior processing;
- request portability of certain data.
To exercise any right, contact privacy@watuneed.online. We may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority in Saint Lucia.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and tokenisation of payment details — to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a serious data breach where the law requires.
10. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
Our websites use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, security, and, with your consent where required, analytics. You can manage non-essential cookies through the consent controls we provide or your browser settings.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give additional notice through the app or by email.
